Human Powered Health present unique look from Pactimo and Factor Bikes for 2024 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift
HPH is bringing some extra heat to the summer’s hottest race with a sizzling changeout kit and bike paint scheme from acclaimed fashion house Maisie Wilen. The new look brings the label’s bold, futuristic take on women’s fashion to the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift.
The collaboration is the first time an innovator in women’s fashion has debuted designs in the pro peloton. On the world’s biggest stage, the team wanted our first changeout kit to represent something clear – that we are a women first racing team. HPH, Pactimo and Factor celebrate female athletic performance and achievement. Together we believe these ideas are singular in their value and importance. As Audrey Cordon-Ragot put it, we are about “breaking the rules”. For those important reasons, the team approached a fellow disruptor in Maisie Wilen to collaborate on this beautiful new design for our Pactimo racing kit and Factor bikes.
“I immediately jumped at the opportunity to bring our unique aesthetic to one of the biggest women’s sporting events in the world,” says Maisie Schloss, the label’s Founder and Creative Director. “To have such inspiring, strong women represent Maisie Wilen at the Tour de France is an honor. I am excited to watch them compete while representing our brand.”
Los Angeles-based Maisie Wilen started in 2019 as “a brand of basics for maximalists” and presents biannually at New York Fashion Week. It has collaborated with mega brands including Mattel and Yahoo. Known as a celebrity favorite, Maisie Wilen has been worn by innumerable stars including Rihanna, Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Winnie Harlow, Camila Mendes and Charlie XCX.
Our Pactimo kit and Factor bikes provide a sleek new delivery vehicle for Maisie’s creative vision to ring out loud for a new audience in the Women’s WorldTour. A full complement of racing apparel and an all-new Factor OSTRO VAM paint scheme will be on display in Rotterdam and across all of France over seven days and 1,000 kilometers of racing.
The eye-popping aesthetic is the result of a months-long design collaboration between HPH, Pactimo and Maisie. She twisted and turned our design language like a descent through the French Alps, providing a fresh take on our classic colorway. It is infused with new layers of movement, energy, and loads of cool.
“Maisie is incredible to work with, and we are proud to race with her designs,” said Human Powered Health Chief Creative Officer Sam Wiebe. “She brings a unique vision and approach to our kit and bike. I think it’s the first, and hopefully not the last, time that women’s fashion and bike racing merge to create something memorable.”
The flowing design mixes white, orange, purple and navy blue via a pattern Schloss says represents a unique kind of animal print – fish scales. On the team’s racing apparel and the supremely smooth aerodynamic surfaces of the OSTRO VAM, the idea exemplifies a sleek second skin for the seven women on the roster at La Grande Boucle.
“While we see a lot of teams compete in special changeout kits these days, I was especially energized by the decision to collaborate with such a unique figure in the world of women’s fashion,” said general manager Ro de Jonckere. “This kit and bike are about being loud and proud and celebrating the strong female athletes in our organization.”
