They ride to honor the names on our jerseys of loved ones who have battled cancer and hardship.
ALP Cycles Racing is a women's Road and CX race team based in Boulder, Colorado. Led by Alison Powers, the goal of the team is to augment individual professional coaching with race team techniques and camaraderie. The team recently competed in the prestigious Colorado Classic.
Joey Rosskopf, a native of Decatur, Georgia, has raced professionally since 2010. He's participated in four Grand Tour events over the last few years and competed in the Tour de France in 2019. Currently, he is riding on the Rally Cycing squad and is the 2021 National Road Champion. Previously, Joey has also won national time trial titles in 2017 and 2018.
Scottish cyclist, Christina Mackenzie set the Guinness World Record & Road Records Association as the fastest female to travel from Land’s End to John O’Groats (LEJOG) by bicycle. She completed the 839 miles of LEJOG in 51 hours, five minutes and 27 seconds breaking the previous record by nearly two hours.
Ronan McLaughlin has raced professional for over 6 years, having competed in the 2012 World Championships and a an exciting array of local and international races. Not only has Ronan won gold at the prestigious Gollan Hill Climb Championships, but in July 2020 he crushed Alberto Contador's Everesting World Record by 20 minutes with a 7:04:41 time. Ronan is a coach and Pactimo sales rep, and races for Team Dan Morrissey-MIG.ie-Pactimo.
Sean Gardner is a USAC level 3 coach who rides on the Pactimo sponsored CS Velo team. In October 2020, Sean set a new Everesting World Record, riding 51 repeats of a lung-busting 15.5% climb in Shenandoah National Park with the first ever sub 7-hour time of 6:59:38.
With over 350 victories to her name, Laura Van Gilder is undoubtedly the winningest North American female cyclist and it seems her winning streak may never end. In 2018, she won the won the 55-59 category world title at the 2018 Masters Cyclocross World Championships in Mol, Belgium, finishing a full minute ahead of her nearest competitor!
Alison Powers is the only person in history to win all three road discipline National Championships in one year (Road, Criterium and Time Trial - 2014). These go along with two previous national championships (Time Trial 2008, Team Pursuit 2008), 2 National Racing Calendar titles. Today she coaches road, cyclocross, and MTB skills clinics, and high performance race preparation and tactics.
After competing at swimming and running for a number of years, Vicky Holland discovered triathlon at Loughborough University in 2005. That same year she competed at the Junior Triathlon World Championships in Gamagori and in 2012 and 2014 she had already earned two World titles as part of the Team GB Mixed Relay squad. From there she secured a bronze at the Commonwealth Games and a bronze at the at 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Today Vicky wears the rainbow stripes as the 2018 ITU World Champion.
Heather Foley isn't just a pharmacist and mother of twin girls, she's a 5x National Duathlon Champion. In 2015 she won the first of her duathlon championships and subsequent years 2016, 2017, 2018 and the recent duathlon championship at the end of March 2019. In 2016 she won the Middle-Distance Championships and in 2017 she won sprint and standard distance championships. For a period, she held all four titles at once. The duathlon, the sprint distance, the standard and the middle distance.
Caroline Mani is a 5 time French National Champion cyclocross racer. She was the silver medalist at the 2016 UCI Cyclocross World Championships in Zolder, Belgium and is currently ranked 5th in the UCI World Cup 2020 season standings. Caroline resides and trains in Colorado Springs and is currently racing on the Pactimo/Colorado Proud team.
Sunny Gilbert is an internationally ranked cyclocross racer who recently moved to Boulder, CO. She is a cycling advocate, motivational speaker, and cycling skills coach. Sunny won the hearts of many with an incredible 2018 season and her gutsy performance at the 2018 USAC CX Nationals where she came in 2nd. Sunny is currently racing on the Pactimo/Colorado Proud team.
After an 11th place finish at his first Leadville 100 attempt, Cristhian Ravelo was hooked on competitive cycling. Five years later, he begins the 2019 season with CS Velo - a team based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. But one could say cycling was in his blood all along. Twelve years before he was born, Cristhian's grandfather Marcos had brought the Colombian National Team to Colorado for the inaugural 1980 Coors Classic.
