Sensational Team Performance on Stage 2 of Digital Swiss 5

Dal-Cin and Bassett finish in top six against WorldTour peloton.

Rally Cycling meant business on stage 2 of the Digital Swiss 5 on Thursday. Led by Former Canadian road champ Matteo Dal-Cin in fifth, the team stacked the leaderboard at the end of the 45 km stage that was hosted on Rouvy's virtual platform.

Tennessee native Stephen Bassett came in a close sixth while Canadian U23 road champion Nickolas Zukowsky placed fourteenth on the rolling course. Groupama-FDJ' Stefan Kung built an early lead and soloed to victory ahead of the World Individual Pursuit Champion Filippo Ganna (Team Ineos) in second, Tour de France points jersey winner Michael Matthews in third and reigning Olympic champion Greg Van Avermaet (CCC) in fourth.

"It was really cool to be that close to guys who are world-class," said an exhausted Dal-Cin. "It was more than I expected and I'm stoked with it."
